Hi, I’m Lauren!
I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and spent years in the fitness industry, working with athletes, seniors, people with disabilities, and everyday folks just looking to move better. I’ve always loved connecting with people, and that naturally carried over into event planning.
My passion for planning started in university—putting together team events, birthdays, and special celebrations for friends and family. Over time, that turned into something bigger, and now I get to help others celebrate life’s moments in a way that feels personal, thoughtful, and fun.
I’m detail-oriented, organized, and love making things look and feel just right—but most of all, I care about people. I’m lucky to be part of an incredible community of local vendors and small businesses who help bring each event to life. Supporting local is a big part of what I do, and it means a lot to create events that reflect the heart of the community around us.

Hi, I’m Marinya!
I’ve spent the past five years in the events world—starting in a beloved local business and growing into a role at the largest arts campus in Canada. It’s been a dream to collaborate with local creatives and performers to bring events to life that make people feel something and leave a lasting impression on the community.
At my core, I’m a host. Whether it’s a May long BBQ, Halloween party, or a midweek themed dinner, I’m always looking for an excuse to gather people and make things a little extra. I find so much joy in connecting with others and learning about the passion behind what they do—especially when it comes to local talent.
That’s exactly why Lauren and I started Locally Yours Events & Co. We wanted to create a space where event hosts—whether you’re a professional or planning your first party—can easily find and connect with local vendors who bring something special to the table. These creators deserve to be spotlighted, and I’m so excited to help make that happen while continuing to build new connections in the community I love.
